Anton was born and raised in Lake Chelan. As a result, he has seen this valley transform from a region that grew some of the best apples in the world into an area that has begun to produce some of the best grapes and therefore, some of the best wine in the state. After moving to Seattle for a few years to spread his wings a bit, he decided to come home for a summer to learn more about the wine industry. Consequently, his small town roots dug in hard and it wasn’t a hard decision to pack up his stuff, rent out his house, and move back to Chelan. “Moving away really made me appreciate this place and I really missed my lake. Plus, having four actual seasons beats the hell out of wet and wetter on the other side.”
Working for Tildio has given Anton a deep passion for all aspects of the wine industry. When he’s not in the tasting room pouring wine and entertaining the customers, you can find him out in the vineyard with Milum getting dirty with one project or another; and when Katy needs a hand working her magic, you’ll find him in his rubber boots climbing into the press or any other miscellaneous cellar rat duties.

In the off season, Anton is planning on traveling to other regions of the world to work in their wine industries. New Zealand is first on the list which he hopes to make it down to this winter for a few months. “Having a home base in Chelan and traveling to work in wine during the off season is the plan.” Then, back to school down the road to seek an oenology degree.
